Seyval Montbray Vineyard 2007
100% Seyval grown on the renowned Montbray Winery vineyard inCarrollCounty. This wine shows crisp green apple, small pear, and minerals on the palette. Pair with Maryland Rockfish or grilled chicken Caesar salad.
Elena 2007
This dry white wine is a Seyval blend (about 80% Seyval, 10% Burdin, and 10% Villard) that is fermented and aged in small oak barrels for one year. It is very fruity and reminiscent of a Pinot Grigio. Would be delicious with Marylandseafood, but could also stand up to chicken or light pasta dishes.
Chardonnay 2007
Our Chardonnay is oak aged in small French oak barrels for one year. It is medium bodied with honeyed apple flavors and aromas. It is ready to drink now, but will age and improve in the bottle for at least 5-7 years. This wine would be excellent with crab cakes or any other seafood dish.
Marisa 2007
This proprietary blend of Syrah, Foch, Chancellor, and Chambourcin is a contradiction in tastes. Dark inky color and a peppery plum nose this wine starts out tasting spicy and earthy but finishes soft with ripe cherries and blackberries. Great with simple pasta and tomato sauce or a sharp cheese.
Piccolo-2007
The Piccolo is a delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (1/2 and 1/2). It would be a wonderful addition to your Thanksgiving table, pairing well with roast turkey. A great value for such a delicious wine from a great vintage year.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
This wine is everything a greatMarylandwine can be; Rich, complex, earthy and packed with fruit. This wine can be cellared for another 5 years easy. You’ll want a steak with this one.
Marisa Dolce-2009
This wine is the sweet version of our Marisa, made to satisfy those wine lovers looking for a sweet red wine. It is delicious served chilled in the summer, or served warm in the winter as a mulled wine.
Monkton Moon Delight-2009
This wine is made from our Seyval grapes, with a small amount of red grapes to give it a little color. It is sweet and would compare to a Blush. Delicious as an aperitif or as a dessert wine. The name is in honor of the historic Monkton Train Station inMonkton,MD, and the picture on the front was painted by Lynne Basignani’s nephew, Anthony Gardner. The scene on the front was “borrowed” from Van Gogh’s “A Café at Night”.
